This archaeology and ethnography museum in the city of Elvas opened in 2021. With its inauguration, we were requested to create packaging for a museum shop ‘souvenir’ and for institutional gifting: a replica of an ancient oil lamp (present in the museum as an original piece).
Two versions were designed.
The book “Elvas Antiga” (“Old Elvas”), authored by the historian from Elvas and Official Chronicler of the UNESCO World Heritage city, is a work of great precision, the result of dedicated research and investigation by its author, which has significantly contributed to a better understanding of one of Portugal’s most important cities: Elvas.
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012, its monumental character and preservation owe themselves to the efforts of thousands of Elvas residents who, over generations, have done everything to defend and preserve it.
The graphic design of this book required special attention in image processing (Photoshop editing) and its integration with the author’s text.
The architect Carlos Correia Dias, founder of the Landscape Architecture studio LoDo (1994), requested Oximoro for a logo/brand ReDesign project for the company that would generate the renewal of stationery, website, and various elements, reflecting the evolution of the studio and the new services and capabilities created.
